ARE YOU INTERESTED IN LEARNING HOW TO SAVE A LIFE – A FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER OR EVEN A STRANGER?

A 15 year old boy died after a rugby game in West Auckland. He had played rugby then 2 boys attacked him, punching him to the ground. He had an undiagnosed heart condition and his heart stopped. Even though there were students around, none of them knew what to do or when to call an ambulance. An ambulance was finally called, but because it was 7 and a half minutes before CPR was started, the boy died. If there is nobody around who knows how to help, you could. First Aid New Zealand are offering our students a chance to learn how to do CPR and use an AED (Defibrillator) for $10. It normally costs $95. It is an hour and a half lesson after school and you will receive a first aid certificate to say you are capable of doing CPR and using a Defibrillator. If interested, please email Lynnette, Medical Attendance at This email address is being protected from spambots.
