The International Department at Long Bay College welcomes applications from international students wishing to study in years 9-13 (aged 13-18). Students from a wide range of countries including: Brazil, Chile, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Russia, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan and Thailand attend our school.
International students are able to commence their studies at any time during the academic year. However, our two main start dates are January and July and at those times we have orientation activities for new students (click here for the latest Orientation photos).
During their first week at school all international students do ESOL tests to determine their level of English ability and also meet with the International Dean to discuss their preferred subjects and receive an individual timetable. International students enjoy the full range of academic, sporting and cultural activities available to all students at Long Bay College and are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities such as sports, music and the arts. For a small fee international students can join the school gym Sportsworks, receive Music tuition in a range of instruments and participate in many of the ‘after school’ sporting clubs and activities. Please contact the international office with any queries.
