Get your pink on to show support for one another on New Zealand’s ‘Pink Shirt Day’ – May 17. It’s a day for celebrating and respecting diversity and promoting a culture where everyone feels safe, valued and included. Here, at Long Bay College, that’s just what we’re all about! So, if you are planning to wear mufti to our upcoming Pink Shirt Mufti Day, we request you dress as pinkly as possible with clothes and/or accessories to show your support. If you would like to purchase an official Pink Shirt Day T-Shirt, these are available from Cotton On. Alternatively, you can bring a white T-Shirt along to O13 during morning tea until May 10 and get the Pink Shirt Day logo stencilled on to it (a gold coin donation is required for this service and numbers are limited). All students are requested to bring a gold coin donation for the NZ Mental Health Foundation on Mufti Day. Information and activities will be provided for students during Atawhai and lunchtime.
