On October 31, Long Bay College hosted an evening at AUT Millennium celebrating our sportspeople at the Premier Sporting Excellence Awards. A huge congratulations to all of our award recipients. We would like to specifically acknowledge the following students who earned Distinction awards:
- Senior Sportswoman of the year: Kayla Allison-Carnie
- Senior Sportsman of the year: Samuel Roberts
- Junior Sportswoman of the year and award for Outstanding Sporting Achievement of the Year at a World Sporting Event (Archery): Sophia Redgrove
- Junior Sportsman of the year: Joe Dolphin
- Sports Team of the Year: Girls Rugby
- Coach of the year: Mr Justin Bailey (Premier Boys Basketball)
- Outstanding Sporting Achievement of the Year in New Zealand Secondary Schools Sport in National Competition (Swimming): Nia Wallace
