A silver at Curling nationals

Congratulations to our boys Curling team for earning silver at the secondary school’s national competition held in Naseby, Central Otago during the September school holidays. The boys’ semi-final against John McGlashan College was a tough match and came down to the last stone, resulting in a tie. They played an extra end which LBC subsequently won. The boys have developed their play significantly over the past three years. In 2018, the team came fourth nationally, in 2019 they came third, and this year, second. The boys are all in Year 13 and plan to play as an under 21 team next year at university. Our girls team also took part in this year’s nationals and placed fourth. Well done to both our teams!
