Congratulations to our Long Bay College Girls’ 1st XI Hockey team who won the Kate Trolove Cup in Stratford during Winter Tournament Week! In the final, Jorja Foote scored early in the first half giving Long Bay the lead until Rotorua school, Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Ruamata, scored a goal just before halftime. After full time, with the teams at a 1-all draw, the girls had to go to golden time whereby both goalies leave the turf. The Long Bay team showed their determination with Keely Harman scoring the winning goal for Long Bay, winning 2 to 1.
