Performing Arts Opportunities
Take to the stage
We offer students a variety of performance occasions to represent the College, whether students are at the highest skill level or are simply beginners. These include school, community, regional and national based concerts and events throughout the year. See our exciting list of opportunities here.
Sign Up for Music Lessons
Long Bay College students are privileged to have access to one of the finest teams of music tutors available in New Zealand. This reflects the commitment of our school to provide our students with the very best teachers.
Music in Year 9
Learning to play and enjoy music is beneficial for positive brain development. Year 9 students can choose to complete a course in Music over a semester and learn practical skills on an instrument, such as Piano, Guitar, Ukulele and Drums.
Instrument Tuition
Students are given the opportunity to take part in Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Tuba, Violin, Viola, and Double Bass. It is wonderful to see our students gain competency and confidence in learning an instrument and we strongly encourage students to give it a go.
